Bella Thorne is speaking up against Mickey Rourke.
On a recent episode of Celebrity Big Brother UK, the actor, 72, made suggestive and homophobic remarks towards Jojo Siwa, 21, although he later apologized, blaming the comments on his “short fuse.”
Among one of the inappropriate comments was that Siwa wouldn’t “be gay anymore” if he survived the next elimination round.
In response to news that Rourke was confronted by Celebrity Big Brother producers, Thorne wrote in an Instagram Story on Friday that Rourke was “GROSS.”
She starred alongside him in the 2020 thriller Girl, and Thorne alleged that Rourke assaulted her during a scene when her hands were zip-tied around her back, according to The Guardian.
“He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals [through] my jeans,” Thorne wrote. “Hitting them over and over again. I had bruises on my pelvic bone — working with Mickey was one of the all time worst experiences of my life working as an actress.”
The actress also accused Rourke of trying to further “humiliate” her by revving an engine that covered her “completely in dirt.” In other alleged instances, Thorne recounted making “uncomfortable” visits Rourke’s trailer “absolutely alone” to “convince him to show up and complete his job.”
The actress claimed that Rourke was making “crazy demands” but “refused to speak to the director or producers.”
In 1994, Rourke pleaded not guilty to spousal abuse of his then-wife, Carré Otis, whom he divorced in 1998. The actor was alleged to have slapped Otis and kicked her while visiting a publicist’s office, per the Los Angeles Times. The charges were ultimately dropped.
