One must-have for life in Charleston is cute rain gear, as we certainly get a lot of it. Today, I’m going to share a few of my personal favorites, along with great picks for every sort of style.
April Showers: My favorite rain gear
I really like my Pendleton rain jacket. It’s the perfect sunny yellow color, it has a nice big hood, and it’s practical: thick and durable, built to last. The best basic raincoat. I also wear my Hunter ankle boots a lot. They are perfect as they are easy and cute! I find the knee boots to be a little uncomfortable (and hard to pull off my legs), so I prefer a shorter length.
My last essential (not pictured), my Calder umbrella from The Whitney. It’s totally clear (a must for me, as it doesn’t obstruct my vision), with a motif inspired by Alexander Calder’s Big Red. A must for all art lovers (it would make a great Mother’s Day gift, in my opinion).
Beyond those, I’ve rounded up a slew of fun rain gear. Whether you are looking for something classic or kooky, there’s a coat, a hat, and a boot for you.
