Tom Hardy Says His Health Issues Are ‘Not Going to Get Be…

Actor Tom Hardy has had his fair share of health issues lately, and the actor bleakly admitted that he doesn’t think they’ll get any better.

Hardy opened up about his health problems in a new interview with Esquire (on May 9th). He’s an actor in high demand who works a lot; after he finished promoting The Last Dance in December, he immediately began filming MobLand. After a while, that level of hard work can take its toll.

“I got dizzy today,” said Hardy. “I took a Sudafed and it’s starting to work so I feel better, but in the interviews I was sitting there, and you know when you feel not right, but you can’t tell someone you don’t feel right? Like, ‘Listen, if I pass out…”

Hardy then went into detail about some of his issues — explaining that he’s had “two knee surgeries now” along with a herniated disc in his back and sciatica. “And I have that… is it plantar fasciitis?” he revealed.

“Where did that come from? And why? I pulled my tendon in my hip as well. It’s like, it’s all falling to bits now, and it’s not going to get better,” he continued.

Those issues sound like a lot for anyone to deal with, but Hardy wasn’t finished. “There’s only more, more, more,” he explained. “Of what? Stomach ulcers? Blood pressure? Your knees are going, your hair’s falling out, your teeth are wonky, you’re almost 50.”

“Maybe it’s a self-worth thing, maybe it’s not finishing school, maybe it’s not being good enough. But all this ‘I’ll show, I’ll show’…Show who? No one cares. I know I can do it. Well then, chill out,” added Hardy.

All hope isn’t lost for Hardy, as bleak as he sounds. He revealed to Esquire that he’s trying out different homeopathic treatments for his health issues, including “tinctures,” and he’s also considering “stem cells.”

“I think if it comes down to the wire and it seems the sensible thing to do and I take advice,” Hardy admitted.
